The sole vision of Richmond Music Center is developed out of specialization, creativity, and uniqueness. Programs evolved to micro niche focus on key areas of expertise: Music Education, Music Therapy, and Musical Instruments. We come together to embrace the sprit of the people in the community through music. Music encourages working together in good sprits. Our services are qualitative, focusing on helping our clients realize their fullest musical potential. Richmond Music Center founder Joseph Piccinnini, MA, CMT, LCAT holds master & bachelor's degrees from NY University. He currently assists classes at NYU in the Music therapy graduate program and sits on the Board of Directors.

Joseph Piccinnini holds a Master and Bachelors degrees from N.Y.U. in Music Therapy. He is also recognized by the A.M.T.A. as a Certified Music Therapist.

Richmond Music Center, located in Tottenville, has now entered its nineteenth
year in providing musical services and fulfilling the musical needs of the Staten Island community. 

Programs are tailored for the handicapped and special needs students, including music therapy. Proudly serving our community since 1989 Richmond Music Center's Joseph Piccinnini, MA,CMT, has received many prestigious awards and honors including REX awards for music education/music therapy, music and sound award for music education/therapy, Louis Miller Business Leadership Award and invitations to participate as an ambassador delegate for “People to People”, a music therapy project to Australia and South Africa. 
Also, Mr. Piccinnini and Richmond Music Center participated in and sponsored the “New York City Music Therapy Relief Project” after 9/11.

Richmond Music Center prides itself on its rich and diverse cliental highlighted by the annual
recital showcasing the talent of its student and the Staten Island community at large.

The Centers’ specialties include music education, music therapy and music performance. 
Equipment and instrument sales as well as repair and service are also provided.  The Center’s goal has been,
and reputation has established, the reliability and efficiency as well as the kindness and courteousness of its staff.


The Carnegie Hall recital is the highlight of our year.  Performing at the legendary Carnegie Hall is one of the most memorable moments in the lives of the students.  Seeing the progress of the students and watching the results as they perform always overwhelm their teachers and parents.  To mark this fifteen-year accomplishment, we respectfully request an official proclamation which will serve to also magnify the accomplishments of our students.  Thank you for your consideration.
