Advisory Board


Richmond Music Center's Founder, Joseph Piccinnini, MA,CMT has been chosen to be on the Advisory Board for the New York University Wellness Program for performing artists. Other board members include, Wynton Marsalis from Lincoln Center, Pinchas Zuckerman (violinist) National Academy of Recording Artist and Sciences, Dr. Louise Montello (Founder of Musicians' Wellness), and other significant members of the music community.


A reception was held at Rockefeller Center in New York City. This event launched the Musician's Wellness Project. Special musical performances by board members including Grammy Award Winning Percussionist Glenn Valez featuring Lori Cotler, vocals. Vocalist Carol Daly and Jazz Pianist and composer Rachel Z.

The vision for the program is a world of healthy musicians, free of performance related stress, addictions and injuries. We see musicians activating the healing power of music itself to integrate body, mind and spirit during practice and performance. Through this process they are empowered to perform more inspired musical offerings that bring beauty, harmony and healing to the world around us.
